Beautiful grounds which are great for walk dogs (and people) around. There is a 10 minute walk from the car park before you get to the gardens. The house is an extra cost (even if you are a NT member) but it is a very interesting tour.

Preferred it before they moved the entrance, used to be a nice explore before being greeted by the sight of the house across the lake. Now it's straight in front of you as you enter the gardens, so not quite the same reward as you discover the gardens. Still a nice place to have a stroll around, even when the car park was full on news years didn't it didn't feel too crowded.

Good for dog walking - lots of people wandering around, lovely (famous) gardens and easy parking. Its quite a walk from the carpark to the start of the gardens so wear comfortable shoes!Even in the winter it is a lovely place to visit

Our first visit and what a lovely place. Plenty of parking, helpful staff to inform you about the walks and places of interest to see. So much to see with plenty of path choices so walk can be as long or as short as you like. The cafe was very good despite how busy it was and a lovely NT shop. Looking forward to revisiting in Spring and Summer when the whole place will be transformed by greenery.

Great place for a family day out. Plenty of space to walk and enjoy the peace. Make sure you try out the huge swing...great fun! Cafe at visitors centre is often busy but does offer a good selection of food and drinks. We always pack a picnic.... So much space
