Nice little jail converted into a museum. Could have done with more information on the jail itself. Worth a visit if your in the pretty town of Buckingham.
Very interesting market town Gaol, explains the history in an interesting manner, with a quiz for the younger visitors. Recommend you make a visit if in the area. Buckingham itself is a good place to visit full of history and a pleasant riverside walk.
Our first visit to Buckingham Town. Visited The Parish Church and The Chantry House before visiting BUCKINGHAM OLD GAOL MUSEUM which we found very interesting as a BUILDING in addition to it being a MUSEUM.THE MUSEUM WAS WELL WORTH A VISIT AND THE EXHIBITS WERE INTERESTING DISPLAYED AND FULLY DESCRIBED. Next time you are in Buckingham be sure to finish up in Gaol !!!!
